The closing night of Much Ado About Nothing fell on December 1st, World Aids Day and the members of Yorick felt we had to do something to commemorate this amazing awareness day.
The cast, in a valiant and commendable effort, requested to take up a collection on that that day during both performances of people willing to donate to the life changing charity, Broadway Cares – Equity Fights Aids.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is the nation’s leading industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American Theatre community to an urgent worldwide health crisis. By drawing upon the talents, resources, and generosity of this community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Since its founding in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over $140 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV or HIV-related illnesses.
Yorick will be sending a check to BCEFA for $200!!! The amount collected from the shows and the cast. We are very proud to helping such an amazing organization out, and helping fellow actors fight this urgent heath crisis.
Thank you to everyone who supported us.
